Style Inspiration: Rambling Rose

I am feeling so inspired by Free People's latest look book, Rambling Rose. Haven't seen it? Check it out! The images bring to mind a gypsy village nestled among the trees, where creative souls live free, wearing beautiful clothing as unique as the soul within. The boho inspired looks, the rich burgundy & berry tones mixed with earthy tans & browns, the lush fabrics & beautiful background, I instantly fell in love with the entire concept. It makes me want to throw on my favorite kimono & floppy hat & roam around a field of flowers. As someone who generally sticks to whites and creams as my go to color pallet, this look book is certainly inspiring me to infuse some color into my wardrobe, & embrace the rich tones that mother earth has to offer.

What do you all think of the Rambling Rose look book? I'd love to hear from my lovely gypsies!

Designer File: Spell & the Gypsy Collective

I first discovered The Spell & the Gypsy Collective while reading BLDG25's interview with the creative minds behind the brand. With every sentence I fell in love with Spell more & more. The Spell has mastered hippie-chic meets classic western.  There is fringe & turquoise, skulls & horns paired with indian inspired patterns, slouchy T's and flowing silhouettes, & attention to detail in every single garment. The Spell & the Gypsy Collective is a modern day hippies dream. I think I am most drawn to the unique details found in each piece and the juxtaposition of feminine and masculine in the pieces really.  I love that mixture of hard and soft, the unexpected pairing of materials and styles that makes you look twice.  Clothing should be quirky and unique, they should speak to a deeper part of you and play on your creativity, & The Spell has done just that.  No wonder I am lusting after every piece in the collection.  If only my bank account would allow it.
